Anti-Doping

We are pleased to announce the release of the ISU Anti-Doping Rules (Communication 1922) and the ISU Anti-Doping Procedures (Communication 1923) which will be effective January 1, 2015.

The ISU Anti-Doping Rules and the ISU Anti-Doping Procedures are compiled in accordance with the 2015 World Anti-Doping Code.

The 2015 World Anti-Doping Code works in conjunction with the 2015 Prohibited List as well as the 2015 International Standards including:

  • 2015 International Standard for Testing and Investigations (ISTI)
  • 2015 International Standard for Laboratories (ISL)
  • 2015 International Standard for Therapeutic Use Exemptions (ISTUE)
  • 2015 International Standard for the Protection of Privacy and Personal Information (ISPPPI)

In order to help the athletes understand their anti-doping rights and responsibilities, WADA has published an Athlete Reference Guide to the 2015 World Anti-Doping Code.

This guide provides an explanation of athletes’ roles and responsibilities, details of what constitutes an anti-doping rule violation, information on the Prohibited List and supplements, and details on matters ranging from the ‘Whereabouts’ rule to Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs), amongst other topics.
