The Speed Skating ISU Centers of Excellence (CoE) have been organizing a series of webinars, offering their expertise in coaching and training to the wider Skating community. As part of the initiative, the ISU CoE – Thialf Academy in the Netherlands is hosting a webinar on Data and Training at 20:00 (CET) on November 9, 2020.

It is with regret and sorrow that the ISU learned of the death of former ISU Judge, International Referee and Personal Assistant to the ISU President, Mrs. Simonetta Spalluto, who passed away on October 15, 2020 at the age of 65.

Cancellation of ISU Four Continents Championships 2021 and Provisional allotments of ISU Championships 2022 and 2023
Considering the pandemic developments and related impact on the organizers and participants of ISU Events, the ISU Council decided to cancel or postpone the following ISU Events

The ISU Council met on August 28, 2020 via an online meeting. The following were among the decisions taken by the Council during the meeting.
During its online meeting of August 28, 2020, the ISU Council received a report from the appointed Working Group elaborating on the ongoing negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on sporting events and the feedback received from the organizing ISU Members of ISU Speed Skating and Short Track Speed Skating Events.

In accordance with the ISU Constitution, the ISU Council has considered and adopted a revised version of the ISU Code of Ethics. ISU Communication 2342 contains the ISU Code of Ethics 2020 and replaces ISU Communication 2215 with immediate effect.
