The list of International Speed Skating and Short Track Speed Skating Competitions for the season 2016/17 is now available.

In order to protect the clean Skaters and in line with the ISU Anti-Doping Rules (ISU Communication 1922, Article 6.5 “Further Analysis of Samples”), the ISU has improved its Anti-Doping Program by implementing a “Samples Long Term Storage and Reanalyze” Policy based on Article 5.2.2.12.1 of the WADA International Standard for Laboratories and applying the respective WADA Guidelines for Long Term Storage.

The ISU has decided to hold a course for Speed Skating Referees, which will be organized by the ISU Speed Skating Technical Committee and US Speedskating (as hosting ISU Speed Skating Member) in Park City, Utah (USA), September 29–October 2, 2016

The ISU is truly appalled and deeply saddened by the findings of the McLaren Report (IP Report).

On behalf of the Académie Internationale des Sciences et Techniques du Sport (AISTS), ISU Members are informed that AISTS is organizing the AISTS SEMOS™ and SEMOS+™ modules.

The ISU Council met on June 5, 11 & 12, 2016 during the International Skating Union’s 56th Ordinary Congress in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The following were among the decisions taken by the Council.

The International Skating Union’s 56th Ordinary Congress concluded on June 10, 2016 in Dubrovnik (CRO) with the elections of the ISU Office Holders. The ISU 56th Ordinary Congress elected the following persons to ISU Office

The International Skating Union’s 56th Ordinary Congress concluded on June 10, 2016 in Dubrovnik (CRO). Over 350 Delegates from 85 ISU Member federations were present to vote on over 370 proposals and to elect candidates to ISU Office.

The International Skating Union has welcomed with satisfaction the decision of the Bundesgerichtshof in the case of the German Speed Skater Ms. Claudia Pechstein
