Wooden Spoon Society - an Event Organising Charity
Since formation the Wooden Spoon Society has opted to raise its funds through the organisation of events.

Whilst donations, gifts of trust, covenants and memberships are welcome and actively promoted for, the main thrust of the Society is to go into the market place and, through the activities and energies of its membership, to organise events which will accumulate funds to allow the Society to follow its charitable objectives.

Local Funds for Local Projects
By following this philosophy it has been possible to organise the Wooden Spoon Society into a number of committees which borrow both identity and philosophy from the National Charity while promoting activities within their own section or geographic alignment for the benefit of that sectional or geographic alignment.

Wooden Spoon has opted for a policy that will allow for local funds for local projects
By this means all funds raised within any section or region is held on behalf of that region for the benefit of projects undertaken by that region.

We Make Your Money Worth Twice as Much
Additional funds are made available from the National Charity, on a £ for £ basis, so that locally generated funds are worth double.
