As announced in ISU Communication No. 2548, the ISU Council approved the establishment, as from the season 2023/24, of an ISU Junior World Cup Short Track Series, funded through the ISU Development Program and replacing the current Short Track Junior Challenge Series.

As part of its “Clean Sport” program for doping prevention, the ISU has once again this season deployed the “Pure as Ice” campaign in a variety of international events across all ice skating disciplines. The ISU #PureasIce initiative aims at reuniting skaters together with their entourage in a safe and fun hub where they can learn and exchange about Anti-Doping rules and behaviors.

Further to ISU Communication No 2541, the Summary of Championships applications received by the ISU for Seasons 2024/25, 2025/26, 2026/27 and 2027/28 is now available.

ISU Communication No. 2550 about World Standings/World Ranking for Singles & Pair Skating and Ice Dance replaces Communication No. 1629.

The ISU issues strict requirements for Helmets manufacturers for Speed Skating and Short Track Speed Skating regarding the safety and approved labels and tags.

An ISU CoE Pair Skating Seminar, supported by the ISU Development Program, will be held at the Oberstdorf ISU Center of Excellence (CoE) from August 6-11, 2023.

The Figure Skating Centers of Excellence are launching try-out camps for Skaters and Coaches interested in a new Figure Skating discipline, starting from April 2023.

The Qualification Systems for the 4th Winter Youth Olympic Games (hereafter called YOG) for all three ISU disciplines (Figure Skating, Speed Skating and Short Track Speed Skating) have been approved by the IOC Executive Board.

Further to ISU Communication No. 2521 and after having received ISU Members’ applications, the ISU recognized the announced Seminars for Referees and Judges.

The ISU continues to support the training and development of promising Skaters and their Coaches by offering opportunities for quality coaching and mentoring at ISU Centers of Excellence (CoE).

The ISU Development Commission is pleased to invite ISU Members to make applications for 2023 Scholarship support for their Junior Skaters.

This Communication summarizes the main general obligations of ISU Members, according to the ISU Statutes (see Article 39, paragraph 1 of the ISU Constitution for the definition of the ISU Statutes) and according to established procedures. This does not alter the obligation of ISU Members to adhere to those Rules contained in the ISU Statutes which are not specifically referred to in this Communication.

The ISU invites ISU Members to submit bid applications to host ISU Championships during seasons 2023/24 to 2027/28.
