Eighteen ISU members have qualified quota places for the XXIII Olympic Winter Games 2018 in Pyeongchang, Korea, at the designated qualifying event Nebelhorn Trophy 2017 in Oberstdorf, Germany.

Australia’s Kailani Craine skated to gold as Nebelhorn Trophy wrapped up Saturday in Oberstdorf, Germany. All three medallists earned an Olympic spot.

Tae Ok Ryom / Ju Sik Kim (PRK) have clinched a berth for the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in the Pair Skating event for the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.

Kailani Craine of Australia took first place in the Ladies Short Program as Nebelhorn Trophy in Oberstdorf, Germany continued Friday.

The ISU Challenger Series Nebelhorn Trophy 2017 opened Thursday with the Short Dance, Men’s and Pairs Short Programs in Oberstdorf, Germany. Nebelhorn Trophy is the designated Olympic Qualifying Event this season. 25 Men, 34 Ladies, 11 Pairs and 16 Ice Dance couples compete for six available spots in Men’s, Ladies and Ice Dance and five spots in Pair Skating.

Jorik Hendrickx of Belgium skated first and finished first in the Men’s Short Program at Nebelhorn Trophy Thursday in Oberstdorf, Germany. Alexander Johnson (USA) came second and Sweden’s Alexander Majorov sits in third place.

European Champions Evgenia Tarasova/Vladimir Morozov of Russia skated to the lead in the Pairs Short Program Thursday at Nebelhorn Trophy.

Great Britain’s Penny Coomes/Nicholas Buckland took a confident lead in the Short Dance as the Nebelhorn Trophy opened Thursday in Oberstdorf, Germany. Kana Muramoto/Chris Reed of Japan are currently ranked second, followed by Germany’s Kavita Lorenz/Joti Polizoakis.

The Figure Skating world is watching the German mountain village of Oberstdorf this week to find out who will take the last remaining spots for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games. 

Denis Ten made history as the first figure skater from Kazakhstan to win medals at the Olympic Games (2014) and the ISU World Figure Skating Championships (2013 and 2015).

The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series 2017/18 features talented junior skaters from all over the world and provides young skaters aged 13 to 19 (21 for the male ice dance and pair skating partners) with the opportunity to compete at a high international level.
