Anastasiia Metelkina/Luka Berulava (GEO) took a dominating lead as the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final continued Thursday in Beijing (CHN) with the Junior Pairs Short Program. The Final features the top six Skaters/Couples per discipline from the seven events of the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating series. 

“Quad God” Ilia Malinin (USA) pulled off his signature quad Axel to win the Men’s Short Program at the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in Beijing (CHN) Thursday. The ISU Grand Prix Final features the best six Skaters/Couples in each discipline of the Grand Prix events competing against each other for the first time this season. Thirty-six Skaters/Couples representing nine countries will compete in Beijing.

Newcomers Minerva Hase/Nikita Volodin (GER) claimed the Pairs Short Program at the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in Beijing (CHN) Thursday. The ISU Grand Prix Final features the best six Skaters/Couples in each discipline of the Grand Prix events competing against each other for the first time this season. Thirty-six Skaters/Couples representing nine countries will compete in Beijing.

Jia Shin (KOR) won the Junior Women’s Short Program as the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final continued Thursday in Beijing (CHN). The Final features the top six Skaters/Couples per discipline from the seven events of the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating series. 

Hyungyeom Kim (KOR) skated to the lead in the Junior Men’s Short Program as the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final opened Thursday in Beijing (CHN). The Final features the top six Skaters/Couples per discipline from the seven events of the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating series.

World Champions Shoma Uno (JPN), Kaori Sakamoto (JPN) and Madison Chock/Evan Bates (USA) as well as European Champions and World medalists lead the line-up for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in Beijing (CHN) December 7-10. The ISU Grand Prix Final features the best six Skaters/Couples in each discipline of the Grand Prix events competing against each other for the first time this season. Thirty-six Skaters/Couples representing nine countries will compete in Beijing.

A total of 36 young Skaters/Couples from 10 ISU Members earned their spots in the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final and are preparing to compete in Beijing (CHN), December 7-10. The Final features the top six Skaters/Couples per discipline from the seven events of the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating series. China hosts the event for the second time, having first staged it in 2010. Skaters from Japan, the USA and Korea have dominated the ISU Junior circuit this season. Some top Junior competitors return to the Final alongside many newcomers for fans to discover.

On December 3, 2023, the International Skating Union (ISU) will celebrate Ice Skating sports all around the world by launching the second edition of the World Ice Skating Day (WISD). To date, 50 countries on all continents have confirmed their participation in this initiative and will organize a variety of events hand in hand with local skating clubs, rinks and national skating federations in a spirit of inclusion and joy.

The NHK Trophy is the sixth and concluding event of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series and provides the last chance to qualify for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2023/24 in Beijing (CHN) December 7-10.
