The season 2020/21 was challenging to say the least and led to the cancellation of numerous events. Nonetheless in celebration of Figure Skating a special edition of the ISU Skating Awards will be held this year. The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented and the public will be treated to an amazing show, featuring some of the greatest athletes from around the world and some exclusive interviews at the ISU Skating Awards on July 10, 2021, which will be live streamed on the Skating ISU YouTube channel.

In this second edition of the ISU Skating Awards, viewers can look forward to some brand-new performances, created exclusively for the ISU Skating Awards. From Moscow to Los Angeles, Montreal to Tokyo, we’ll be checking in with skaters from around the world as they reflect on last season, and their journeys still to come.

An exclusive behind the scenes glimpse at how Skaters such as Alexandra Trusova, Anna Shcherbakova and Alena Kostornaia train. A special surprise will be prepared with Anastasia Mishina/Aleksandr Galliamov, Aleksandra Boikova/Dmitrii Kozlovskii, Petr Gumennik and another great performance will feature Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, Mikhail Kolyada and Evgeni Semenenko.

The likes of Madison Chock/Evan Bates, Bradie Tennell, Vanessa James/Eric Radford, Ivan Righini and Starr Andrews will also take center ice to perform exclusive content.

Some lucky skaters will even have the chance of performing to none other than James Morrison, multi-platinum selling singer, songwriter and guitarist, who earned his global fame with hits such as “You Give Me Something” and “You Make it Real”, without forgetting his critically acclaimed collaboration with Nelly Furtado titled “Broken Strings. He will be accompanying skaters by performing his famous hit “Wonderful World”.

But that is not all! You won’t want to miss exclusive interviews with Rika Kihira and Yuma Kagiyama to top it all off.
