Russia’s Daria Pavliuchenko/Denis Khodykin claimed the silver medal while Ashley Cain/Timothy Leduc (USA) rose from sixth to take the bronze.

Kamila Valieva of Russia took the lead in a battle of triple Axels in the Women’s Short Program at the ISU Grand Prix Skate Canada International in Vancouver on Friday. Valieva’s teammates Elizaveta Tuktamysheva and Alena Kostornaia came second and third on the first day of competition.

The event features stars such as three-time and reigning ISU World Champion Nathan Chen (USA), 2021 ISU World silver medalist Elizaveta Tuktamysheva (RUS) and 2018 Olympic Pairs silver medalists Wenjing Sui/Cong Han (CHN).

Russia’s Alexandra Trusova struck gold in what was a high-level competition at the ISU Grand Prix Guaranteed Rate Skate America in Las Vegas Sunday. Daria Usacheva, also from Russia, claimed the silver in her debut at the senior-level Grand Prix while Young You of the Republic of Korea moved up from fifth to capture bronze.
