2022 - present

György Elek was elected as an ISU Council member of the Figure Skating Branch in June 2022. György is keen to support projects that would aim to raise the popularity of skating and he also advocates the integration of innovative solutions in various areas including the judging system.

György served the sport of Figure Skating as an elected member of the ISU Ice Dance Technical Committee from 2018 to 2022. Starting from 2022 he is also a Council member of the Hungarian National Skating Federation.

Shortly after the end of his skating career as an athlete, during which he represented Hungary at European and World Figure Skating Championships, he started officiating as an International Ice Dance Technical Specialist (between 2009 and 2011) then, after promotion, as an ISU Technical Specialist (from 2011 to 2022). Throughout these years, besides many Junior and Senior Grand Prix Events, Grand Prix Final, he was appointed to numerous ISU Championships (European, Four Continents and World Figure Skating Championships) and two Olympic Winter Games in 2014 and 2022.

For more than a decade, György has worked as an attorney-at-law for one of the most prestigious law firms in Hungary. Being specialized in civil law and economic crimes, he has been involved in high-profile litigation matters and criminal cases at all possible court levels.

György received his law (Juris Doctor) degree in 2007 and successfully passed his bar exam in 2011.

He is married to Kata Dalkó. They live with their daughter in Budapest, Hungary.
