This Communication summarizes the main general obligations of ISU Members, according to the ISU Statutes (see Article 39, paragraph 1 of the ISU Constitution for the definition of the ISU Statutes) and according to established procedures. This does not alter the obligation of ISU Members to adhere to those Rules contained in the ISU Statutes (in particular but not limited to Article 6, paragraph 3 and Article 7, of the ISU Constitution) which are not specifically referred to in this Communication.
The ISU Synchronized Skating Technical Committee (SySTC) is developing a new “Elite 12” category. Teams who have had the opportunity to create a Free Skating program during the season, can register by March 1,2021.
All Officials who continue to meet the criteria as outlined in the Special Regulations and who, considering the period of time elapsed since their initial appointment, require re-certification are eligible for acceptance to the Frankfurt Seminar 2021 – recertification program.
ISU Communication No. 2379 invites ISU Members to make applications for Junior Skater Scholarships in accordance with the ISU Development Program Communication (Communication No. 2310). The deadline for applications is April 5, 2021.
The ISU Council invites ISU Members to send applications for ISU Championships for the seasons 2022/23 to 2025/26 for evaluation and decision during its June 2021 meeting. The applications for the seasons 2024/25 and 2025/26 concern Speed Skating and Short Track Speed Skating only.

The Challenger Series in Synchronized Skating consists of up to five (5) International Competitions linked together, giving adequate opportunities for many Teams to compete at the international level and earn World Standing Points. Additionally, it allows Teams and Officials to prepare for competing at the ISU Championships.

During its meeting on April 16, 2020, the ISU Council reviewed the Prize Money for ISU Synchronized Skating Championships. The ISU Council agreed upon an increase in Prize Money and a Prize Money being awarded also for the Junior Championships.
The ISU is pleased to launch the Virtual Events Toolkit aimed at ISU Members and organizers who wish to host live and non live virtual events, meetings and seminars, practice sessions for Officials and to monitor Skaters for development purposes.
