ISU CoE Joint Camps - Singles and Pairs
The ISU Center of Excellence Bergamo, in collaboration with CoE Champéry and CoE Oberstdorf, presents the ISU CoE Joint Camps, a series of international training initiatives designed to support the development of Figure Skating branch disciplines.
These camps bring together skaters and coaches from diverse backgrounds in a high-performance environment that combines technical training, education, and international collaboration. Each camp within the series is tailored to specific disciplines and development levels, offering targeted opportunities for skill progression, knowledge exchange, and athlete pathway development.
Through this initiative, the ISU Centres of Excellence aim to foster excellence, encourage new partnerships, and strengthen the global figure skating community.
Camp 1: ISU Pair Up! – International Pair Try-out, Pair Skating Camp & Coaches Seminar
The ISU Center of Excellence Bergamo, in collaboration with CoE Champéry and CoE Oberstdorf, presents the ISU Pair Up! – International Pair Try-out, Pair Skating Camp & Coaches Seminar.
This camp offers a unique and structured environment where skaters and coaches can work together through a comprehensive program combining partner matching opportunities, technical training, and coach education.

Pair Try-out (15-16 May 2026)
A key component of the camp is the Pair Try-out, where individual skaters interested in pair skating are given the opportunity to skate with potential partners under the supervision of experienced coaches.
These sessions are designed to:
- Facilitate the creation of new pair partnerships
- Assess compatibility between skaters
- Evaluate technical potential
- Provide guidance for future development
Pair Skating Camp (17-20 May 2026)
The second part of the program focuses on training for newly formed and existing teams. Skaters will work on essential pair elements, including:
- Lifts
- Twists
- Throws
- Pair spins
- Side-by-side elements
In addition, the camp includes off-ice preparation and conditioning specifically tailored to the demands of pair skating.
Coaches Education Course
Running in parallel, the Coaches Education Course supports coaches aiming to develop expertise in pair skating. The course includes:
- Practical demonstrations
- Methodology discussions
- Technical guidance on introducing and developing pair skating within national programs
Additional sessions will focus on ISU Rules 2026/2027 and technical updates, providing a clear overview of:
- New regulations
- Judging expectations
- Technical requirements in pair skating

Camp 2: ISU CoE Joint Training Camp – Champéry 2026
The ISU Centres of Excellence in Champéry, Oberstdorf, and Bergamo present the ISU CoE Joint Training Camp – Champéry 2026, a high-level training opportunity for Advanced Novice and Junior Single Skaters and their Coaches, particularly from developing programs.
This camp offers a structured and intensive program led by an international team of expert coaches and provides a focused training environment aimed at technical development, performance improvement, and a deeper understanding of the sport.
Date and Location
- Dates: 16–21 June 2026 (6 training days)
- Location: Palladium de Champéry, Switzerland (hosted by Skating School of Switzerland, ISU CoE Champéry)
Programme Highlights
- On-ice training: masterclasses, semi-private lessons, and free ice sessions
- Off-ice training: conditioning, ballet, and movement classes
- Theory sessions: ISU regulations, judging system, and athlete development
- Daily exchange sessions for participating coaches

Camp 3: ISU CoE Development Camp for Advanced Novice & Junior Skaters
The ISU Centres of Excellence are proud to present a unique training programme specifically tailored to figure skaters in the Advanced Novice and Junior categories from developing countries.
This intensive joint training camp is designed to support the progression of young athletes by providing a structured and high-quality training environment.

- July 27th – August 1st 2026
Program Objectives
The camp aims to:
- Promote the development of technical skills
- Support the refinement of skating technique
- Enhance understanding of figure skating rules and judging criteria
Training Approach
Participants will benefit from:
- On-ice training sessions led by experienced international coaches
- Focused work on fundamental and advanced elements
- Guidance on performance quality and program components
The program also emphasizes education, ensuring that skaters gain a deeper understanding of the sport’s technical framework and expectations at international level.
