The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has published the 2021 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods (List), which will come into force on January 1, 2021.

Considering the pandemic developments and related impact on the organizers and participants of ISU Events, the ISU Council decided to cancel or postpone the following ISU Events

The ISU has decided to hold a series of Online Video Seminars for ISU Referees in Speed Skating, which will be organized by the ISU Speed Skating Technical Committee using the ISU eLearning Platform and Zoom Communication software.

Further to ISU Communication No 2319, the Summary of Championships applications received by the ISU for Seasons 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24 and 2024/25 (the seasons 2023/24 and 2024/25 are tentative allotments and only concern Speed Skating and Short Track Speed Skating) is now available. ©International Skating Union (ISU) To see the Summary of Championships applications click the link on the right side bar. 

The Ice Dance Technical Committee has published the guidelines for the Rhythm Dance for season 2021/22, to enable Ice Dance coaches and couples to collect ideas for the Olympic season.

The Ice Dance Technical Committee published the Handbook for Technical Panels 2020/21 and the Handbook for Referees and Judges 2020/21.

The ISU Council met on August 28, 2020 via an online meeting. The following were among the decisions taken by the Council during the meeting.

During its online meeting of August 28, 2020, the ISU Council received a report from the appointed Working Group elaborating on the ongoing negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on sporting events and the feedback received from the organizing ISU Members of ISU Speed Skating and Short Track Speed Skating Events.

The ISU is pleased to announce that the revamped Pure as Ice Anti-Doping eLearning certification course is now available on the ‘Clean Sport and Medical’ section of ISU.ORG.

Bubnik a top lawyer, the first Czechoslovak who studied law at Harvard, a Figure Skater, a Figure Skating referee, an international sports official and arbitrator in doping matters and in 2020 he decided to publish Law and Sport – My Passions, a memoir of his incredible life.

In accordance with the ISU Constitution, the ISU Council has considered and adopted a revised version of the ISU Code of Ethics. ISU Communication 2342 contains the ISU Code of Ethics 2020 and replaces ISU Communication 2215 with immediate effect.

The Singles and Pair Technical Committee have released a presentation that explains the season updates in a simple and easy way and offers examples. 

The ISU is pleased to announce the release of the ISU Anti-Doping Rules, effective January 1, 2021, (Communication 2344) compiled in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code 2021.

The International Skating Union (ISU) has published the International Single & Pair Skating, Ice Dance and Synchonized Skating Competitions for the season 2020/21.

The ISU would like to remind ISU Members and their Referees that the Referees Reappointment Learning Exercises for Figure Skating International and ISU Referees continue to be available on the ISU eLearning Platform. The Exercises are available to be completed at any time throughout the year.
