Russian Skaters dominated at their home ISU Junior Grand Prix event in Krasnoyarsk, claiming 10 out of 12 medals. Russia's GlebLutfullin, Sofia Akatieva, Ekaterina Chikmareva/MatveiIanchenkov and Ice Dancers Irina Khavronina/Dario Cirisano all claimed their first ISU Junior Grand Prix gold medals and all of them except Lutfullin debuted on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series.

Japan’s Ice Dancers Misato Komatsubara/Tim Koleto have taken two huge steps towards their Olympic dream: They qualified a quota place for their country at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2021 in Stockholm (SWE) in March by placing 19th and American-born Koleto has received Japanese citizenship. The season had its challenges for the husband-and-wife-team as they were unable to return to their training base in Montréal (CAN) because of travel restrictions. Instead, they trained at home in Japan and in Colorado Springs, where Tim is originally from.

Skaters from the USA and Canada collected the gold medals as the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating series 2021/22 continued with the second event in Courchevel (FRA). Isabeau Levito (USA), Wesley Chiu (CAN) and Oona Brown/Gage Brown (USA) claimed the titles. The event was originally to take place in Edmonton (CAN) but moved to Courchevel. All three champions celebrated their first victory at the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating.

Sweden’s Nikolaj Majorov debuted at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2021 in Stockholm (SWE) and not only competed in the final Free Skating but also secured an Olympic quota spot for his home country by finishing 23rd. Now the Skater, who turned 21 on August 18, is getting ready for the Olympic season and has some news to share. “Life is going good! The Majorov family moved after 30 years in Luleå to a new place called Norrköping with new opportunities,” he said.
