Girard (CAN) takes gold in the men’s 500m as home favourite Sjinkie Knegt (NED) nabs silver at the Audi ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating in Dordrecht, Netherlands.

St-Gelais (CAN) took gold ahead of Boutin (CAN) in the ladies' 500m at the Audi ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating with Choi (KOR) and Christie (GBR) missing.

The two-time Olympic Champion in Pair skating, Liudmila Belousova passed away on September, 2017 at the age of 81.  

The Audi ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating series continues in Dordrecht, Netherlands, between Thursday October 5 and Sunday October 8, 2017. It is the second of four international events that will help determine who qualifies for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games.

The remaining entries for the Single & Pair Skating and the Ice Dance competitions at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games (OWG) have been allocated after the Nebelhorn Trophy in Oberstdorf, Germany, held on September 28-30, 2017. (in addition to Communication No. 2093)

The Republic of Korea’s Choi Min Jeong crowned a fine weekend’s skating with victory in the 1000m and the ladies’ 3000m relay, having won two gold medals on Saturday. 

Canada won the men’s 5000m relay at the Audi ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating following a strong finish, fighting back from third position after Pascal Dion (CAN) nearly fell with more than half of the race remaining.

The Republic of Korea’s women continued their dominance at the Audi ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating with victory in the ladies relay 3000m final – the nation’s fourth gold medal of the weekend in four events 

Lim Hyo Jun (KOR) and Hwang Dae Heon (KOR) followed up their 1500m triumph on Saturday by winning gold and silver respectively in the men's 1000m at the Audi ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating in Budapest.

Choi Min Jeong of the Republic of Korea won the 1000m at the Audi ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating in Budapest, bagging her third gold of the weekend and a clean sweep of the ladies’ individual events.
