Isabeau Levito (USA) flew high in the Junior Women’s Short Program to take the lead ahead of Korea’s Jia Shin and Ahsun Yun at the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships in Tallinn (EST) Saturday.

Olympic and ISU World competitors Karina Safina/Luka Berulava of Georgia scored a runaway victory with almost 19 points to spare and made history by claiming the first ISU Figure Skating Championship title for their country. Australia’s Anastasia Golubeva/Hector Giotopoulos Moore earned the silver medal while Canadians Brooke McIntosh/Benjamin Mimar moved up from fourth place to take the bronze. All three couples competed in their first ISU World Junior Championships.

Oona Brown/Gage Brown (USA) danced to a confident lead in the Rhythm Dance with Canadians Natalie d’Alessandro/Bruce Waddell and Nadiia Bashynska/Peter Beaumont following in second and third place. 

Karina Safina/Luka Berulava (GEO) won the Junior Pairs Short Program as the competition at the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships continued in Tallinn (EST) Thursday. 

Ilia Malinin (USA) took the lead as the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships opened in Tallinn (EST) on Thursday with the Junior Men’s Short Program. Wesley Chiu of Canada came second, edging Estonia’s Mikhail Selevko.

The highest heights can be a scary place. Not for Min Jeong Choi (KOR). The decorated skater raced her way to the fourth overall title of her career at the World Short Track Speed Skating Championships on Sunday in Montreal. 

Back to back: it’s the goal of every athlete attempting to defend a title at a world championships. Add Shaoang Liu (HUN) to the list of athletes who have achieved it. 

Les Suprêmes of Canada claimed their first World title and the third for Canada. To the delight of the crowd, they did it on home ice at the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships in Hamilton (CAN) Saturday.
