The ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships 2015 will be held in Hamilton, Canada, on April 10 and 11. Canada hosts the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships for the third time.

Team Russia is the top qualifier for the ISU World Team Trophy followed by the USA, Japan, Canada, France and China. The teams ranked 1 to 6 in the ISU World Team Standings qualified for the event.

Elizaveta Tuktamysheva of Russia skated to the gold medal and became the first Russian lady in ten years to win the World title. Japan’s Satoko Miyahara claimed the silver medal and Elena Radionova of Russia took the bronze in their debut at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships

Javier Fernandez of Spain captured a historic World title. Japan’s Yuzuru Hanyu earned the silver medal and Denis Ten of Kazakhstan claimed the bronze.

Gabriella Papadakis/Guillaume Cizeron of France upset the leaders after the Short Dance and danced off with the gold medal. Madison Chock/Evan Bates (USA) claimed the silver medal and the bronze went to Canada’s Kaitlyn Weaver/ Andrew Poje. The French and U.S. ice dancers claimed their first World medals.

Meagan Duhamel/Eric Radford of Canada skated to the gold medal and their first World title. China’s Wenjing Sui/Cong Han claimed the silver medal while the bronze went to their teammates Qing Pang/Jian Tong.

The ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2015 opened in Shanghai, China, on Wednesday with the Short Dance. 164 skaters/couples from 37 ISU Members have been entered for the Championship.

Meagan Duhamel/Eric Radford of Canada skated to the lead in the Pairs Short Program. China’s Qing Pang/Jian Tong and Weijing Sui/Cong Han came second and third before the final Free Skating on Thursday.

Heather Richardson (USA) and Pavel Kulizhnikov (RUS) won the Grand World Cup and the 20,000 dollars that came with it, in the Final in Erfurt, Germany. Kulizhnikov did not have to race, as his victory had become clear on Saturday.

Pavel Kulizhnikov (RUS) secured this season’s World Cup in both the 500m and the 1000m at the ISU Word Cup Final in the Gunda-Niemann-Stirnemann-Halle Erfurt on Friday. Jorrit Bergsma (NED) won the World Cup for the combined 5000 and 10,000m. Marrit Leenstra (NED) secured the 1500m World Cup.

The third and final day of the ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships 2015 resumed today in Moscow, Russia with both the ladies and men competing in the 1000m, 3,000m Super Final and Relay events. Minjeong Choi (Korea) was crowned the Lady World Short Track Speed Skating Champion, while Sjinkie Knegt (Netherlands) earned the honors as World Short Track Speed Skating Champion on the men’ side.
