Nao Kodaira took her fourth 500m World Cup win this season and Ruslan Murashov won his second 500m win on the first day of the ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Heerenveen. Japan and Norway won the Ladies’ and Men’s Team Pursuit.

China’s Jing Yu and Japan’s Miho Takagi took their second gold medal of the ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Astana on Sunday. Russia dominated the Men’s events with gold for Ruslan Murashov in the 500m and Denis Yuskov in the 1500m.

With the conclusion of NHK Trophy in Sapporo, Japan on Sunday, all qualifiers for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series 2016/17 have been determined. 36 skaters from eight ISU Members will compete in Marseille (FRA) December 8 to 11 at the Final.
