Further to the information already provided in ISU Communication No. 2175, point 9 and in line with the 2016 Congress decision to provide additional opportunities to ISU Member representatives to meet and discuss topics of common interest, the Council agreed to hold a one-day Conference per Branch (Figure Skating & Speed Skating) during the season 2018/19.

The main topics of both Conferences are Good Governance and Sustainability. There will also be a follow-up of the topic Marketing & Promotion and a brief update on the ISU Development Program which were both addressed at the Conferences held in March 2017. In addition, there will also be the opportunity for the Speed Skating Branch to discuss the format of the ISU World Speed Skating Championships and for the Figure Skating Branch to discuss the format of the ISU Figure Skating Championships.

Figure Skating Branch

The Figure Skating Branch Conference will be held on Tuesday March 19, 2019 in Tokyo, Japan on the occasion of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships in Saitama, Japan.

Speed Skating Branch

The Speed Skating Branch Conference will be held on Wednesday February 6, 2019 in Salzburg, Austria on the occasion of the ISU World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships in Inzell, Germany. Transport by bus will be provided from Inzell to Salzburg (around 40 minutes travel) for those staying in hotels in Inzell.
