Kim Boutin became the second Canadian to finish the Audi ISU World Cup Short Track series as an overall winner after a contentious last corner of the ladies 1000m final saw rival Shim Suk Hee (KOR) crash out.

Two-time World Champion Javier Fernandez, of Spain, claimed the seventh Grand Prix gold medal of his long and distinguished career Saturday at the  Internationaux de France de Patinage in Grenoble.

European Champions Evgenia Tarasova/Vladimir Morozov, of Russia, captured their second Grand Prix Pairs gold medal this season at the Internationaux de France de Patinage in Grenoble Saturday. 

Two-time World Champions Gabriella Papadakis/Guillaume Cizeron, of France, won their home Grand Prix Ice Dance in style, recording a personal best as the Internationaux de France de Patinage continued in Grenoble Saturday. 

Norway took gold and bronze in the men’s 1500m at their home World Cup event in Stavanger on Saturday. Sverre Lunde Pedersen (NOR) clinched his second career individual World Cup win and Sindre Henriksen (NOR) made his individual podium debut. Joey Mantia (USA) grabbed silver.

Dutch speed skater Sven Kramer was presented with the Oscar Mathisen Award, also known as the Speed Skating Oscar, at the ISU World Cup in Stavanger on Saturday.

Miho Takagi (JPN) claimed her second 1500m gold medal this season in Stavanger on Saturday. Heather Bergsma (USA) took silver and Lotte van Beek (NED) grabbed the bronze medal.

2017 World Junior Champion Alina Zagitova, of Russia, continued her impressive senior-level debut this season. Coming from fifth place the teenager jumped up the placings to top the podium at the Internationaux de France de Patinage in Grenoble on Saturday. 

Ronald Mulder (NED) took gold in the men’s 500m in 34.62 seconds to beat an extremely competitive field on Saturday. 

Nao Kodaira of Japan was the star of the show again as she claimed gold once more and set another track record at the second ISU World Cup Speed Skating event in Stavanger, Norway on Saturday. 

Wu Dajing of China appears to be peaking at the right time, winning the men’s 500m at the Audi ISU World Cup Short Track to add to his two gold medals last week.

Better late than never for Elise Christie (GBR). The world champion won her first gold medal on the fourth and final stop of the Audi ISU World Cup Short Track in Seoul after an injury-hampered season.

Canadian veteran Charles Hamelin turned back the clock to win the men's 1500m battle but Hwang Dae Heon (KOR) won the war to finish overall Audi ISU World Cup Short Track men’s 1500m champion.

Distance queen Choi Min Jeong (KOR) won her third 1500m gold this Audi ISU World Cup Short Track season to finish as the overall Ladies 1500m winner.
