The ISU Centers of Excellence (Figure Skating) are offering a webinar series -Inside CoEs- over the summer, with the first webinar starting on June 22, 2021, on the ISU Development Youtube Channel.
The Figure Skating CoEs are committed to the development of skating. In these series they will share their expertise and demonstrate the potential of what a Figure Skating CoE can offer to the community. Based on their expertise, each involved CoE will host a webinar around a specific training topic, sharing their insight and perspective. The topics are suitable for Skaters and Coaches of all levels and the series of webinars are taking place between June and September, 2021.
Coaches and Skaters of the hosting CoEs will be participating Live in the webinar, with some potential surprise guests from other CoEs. Skaters and Coaches of all levels are warmly welcome to follow the series on the ISU Development Youtube Channel with the following schedule:
Webinar 1 - Bergamo CoE: Pair skating Startup
Presenters - Franca Bianconi & Ondrej Hotarek
Bergamo CoE is pleased to present the first webinar of the series "inside CoEs" where they will share their experience and know-how on how to build a young Pair team. In this webinar, Ondrej Hotarek - 2 times Olympic Pair Skater and International Coach will talk about
- Off-ice - physical preparation and basic holds for a new Pair team
- On-ice - exercises and basic holds for Pair Skating
Franca Bianconi, with her years of experience, will guide us through the journey of working with Pair teams day by day and will share her insights in this specific field.
They will welcome special guests from Champéry CoE from Switzerland.
The webinar will be very useful especially for Coaches and Skaters who want to know more about Pair Skating.
