The Announcement for the 2016 ISU Shanghai Trophy is now available.

The ISU in cooperation with the Chinese Skating Association will launch the first ever ISU Shanghai Trophy, a new event that combines Short Track Speed Skating and Synchronized Skating. The Event will take place on March 4-6, 2016 in Shanghai (CHN).

For the Short Track Speed Skating competition, the first 24 Ladies and Men in the Overall Classification of the 2015/16 ISU World Ranking Lists stated after the fourth World Cup will be invited to participate. There will also be six International mixed relay teams.

The top five placed ISU Members of the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships 2015 and one Team of the hosting ISU Member will be invited to participate in the Synchronized Skating competition. Each team will perform their Short Program and Free Skating program. On the third day of the event, the teams will perform an exhibition program.
