Following ISU Communication No. 1954 regarding initiatives and measures for the promotion of Short Track Speed Skating and new rules adopted at the ISU Congress in Dubrovnik the following measures will be in place as of the upcoming 2016/17 season:
- Personalized Helmets
- Use of Dedicated Helmet Numbers
- Enforcement of Rule 102, paragraph 6 – Advertising marking/manufacturer trademarks, Skaters uniforms/racing suits, helmets and other equipment
