The ISU has decided to hold a series of Online Video Seminars for ISU Officials in Short Track Speed Skating, which will be organized by the ISU Short Track Speed Skating Technical Committee using the Zoom Communication software as follows:

  • Update regarding season 2021/22 and Covid-19 Status
  • Latest Rule changes (2021)
  • Preparing season 2021-2022

Sunday August 22, 2021: For Referees and Competitor Stewards only

  • Revision of the Guidance to the Racing Rules & Codes for season 2021/22 
  • Examination for all participants

Saturday August 28, 2021: For Referees only

  • Challenging race situations from season 2020/21, decisions & clip review - part 1

Sunday August 29, 2021: For Referees only

  • Challenging race situations from season 2020/21, decisions & clip review - part 2
  • Live Referees’ sessions for season 2021/22
  • Other workshops for Referee’s continuous education
  • Specific examination for Referees

The seminars will be conducted in English.

Participants

These seminars will be open to ISU Referees, ISU Starters and ISU Competitors Stewards as listed in ISU Communication no. 2394 for season 2021/22.

In addition, Referees, Starters and Competitors Stewards listed as International Officials marked with “W” (See Rule 289, paragraph 5.e) in ISU Communication No. 2394 may also participate.

Other International Officials may attend as observers provided their attendance is approved by the Short Track Speed Skating Technical Committee. Request for attendance of such observers must be included in the entries.

Sessions will be recorded and made accessible to participating ISU and International “W” Officials for use in future Regional and National Seminars.

When entering an Official to the seminars, the email address of the Official must be indicated in order to send the online meeting invitation. 

Registration

Invitation and login details to attend the seminars will be sent to all invited participants by email before the seminar.

Participation in the relevant seminars will be considered as participation in an ISU Course in accordance with the requirements for ISU Officials in Rule 289, paragraph 6.a).
