The 58th Ordinary ISU Congress will take place in Phuket (THA) on June 6 - 10, 2022. For this election Congress, the list of nominees, grouped by elected positions, containing the names of the nominees and the nominators is now available following the submission deadline of April 25, 2022.
Due to the Covid 19 travel restrictions to China, the ISU Recognized Single & Pair Skating and Ice Dance Seminars for Referees and Judges planned to be held in Beijing in June 2022 are postponed until further notice.
The ISU Council met on-line on April 24, 2022. The ISU Council continues to follow the developments in Ukraine and their impact on ISU activity. The Council reaffirms its solidarity with all those affected by the conflict and reiterates its condemnation of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in the strongest possible terms.
At its meeting on April 1-2, 2022 in Lausanne (SUI), the ISU Council approved the recommendations of the ISU Center of Excellence (CoE) Project Group for the new cycle of the ISU CoE project and the selection of 11 entities for the 4-year period of April 2022 to April 2026.
Further to ISU Communication No. 2439, the Summary of Championships applications received by the ISU for seasons 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25, 2025/26 and 2026/27 is now available.
It is a requirement for certain Technical Rules to be announced annually by the Ice Dance Technical Committee and all other rules are published in Special Regulations & Technical Rules.
Due to unforeseen reasons, the ISU Recognized Ice Dance Referees’ and Judges’ Seminar in Seoul (Republic of Korea) scheduled from April 15 to 17, 2022 is postponed.A new seminar will be organized as soon as possible.We thank you for your understanding.
During the latest ISU Council meeting held on April 1-2, 2022, the feasibility of maintaining the ISU Skating Awards 2022 was evaluated.
Today Viktor Knoch from Hungary was elected to the ISU Athletes Commission as the Short Track representative.
Today Evan Bates from USA was elected to the ISU Athletes Commission as the Ice Dance representative and Eric Radford as the Single & Pair Skating representative. Evan Bates was elected by the Ice Dance athletes competing at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2022 in Montpellier, France. The vote was done online in order to minimize contacts and be Covid-19 safe during the Championships.
All Officials who continue to meet the criteria as outlined in the Special Regulations and who, considering the period of time elapsed since their initial appointment, require re-certification are eligible for acceptance to the Frankfurt Seminar 2022 – recertification program.
