Team Russia skated off with the gold medal in the inaugural team event at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. Team Canada claimed the silver medal while team USA earned the bronze.

Team Russia extended their lead on day two of the team event at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games on Saturday. Team Canada remained in second place while team USA pulled up to third before the final on Sunday.

Russia is hosting the Olympic Winter Games for the first time in history and it will also be the first time that a figure skating team event will be contested at the Olympic Winter Games

For entries related to Speed Skating events, it is possible to make athletes replacements only up to and during the Team Leader meeting for the Speed Skating Events, scheduled for 10.00 a.m. on February 5th, 2014 (See also ISU Communication No. 1841).

For entries related to Short Track Speed Skating events, it is possible to make athletes replacements only up to and during the Team Leader meeting for the Short Track Speed Skating events, scheduled for 11.00 a.m. on February 9th, 2014.

Following the conclusion of the following Essent ISU World Cup Speed Skating Competitions designated for qualification of event quota places for the XXII Olympic Winter Games 2014 and in line with ISU Special Regulations, Rule 209 and ISU Communication No. 1799, quota places (distance entry quotas) for the Speed Skating events at the XXII Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi have been provisionally allocated as follows....
