The creation of these new leadership roles reflects the ISU's ambition to further professionalize officiating across its disciplines by strengthening the development, education, evaluation and performance management of Officials, while ensuring greater consistency, transparency and quality across all ISU Events.

Both Emilie Billow and Nathalie Lambert bring outstanding expertise and decades of experience to their new positions. Emilie Billow previously served as a Member of the ISU Technical Committee for Singles & Pairs Skating, while Nathalie Lambert was a long-serving Chair of the ISU Short Track Technical Committee.

Commenting on the appointments, ISU Director General Colin Smith said:

"The creation of the Head of Officials roles represents another important step in the evolution of our sport and reflects the ISU's commitment to strengthening the highest standards of officiating. These positions will lead the development and training of Officials, as well as their evaluation, performance management and appointment for ISU events. We are delighted to welcome such experienced and passionate professionals to these roles, which will strengthen a transparent, structured and high-quality education and assessment system, further supporting the professionalization and continued transformation of skating."

Working in close collaboration with the ISU Chief of Sports, respective Vice Presidents, Technical Committees and the ISU Office, the Heads of Officials will play a central role in delivering a transparent and high-performance officiating system that supports athletes, empowers Officials, serves Members and contributes to the sustainable growth of skating worldwide.
