ISU President Jae Youl Kim elected to the IOC Executive Board

International Skating Union (ISU) President Jae Youl Kim has been elected to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board at the 145th IOC Session in Milan, Italy.
President Kim was given an overwhelming mandate to take his considerable sporting experience to the Executive Board at the Session, taking place two days before the Opening Ceremony of Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
ISU President and IOC Executive Board Member Jae Youl Kim said: "I am deeply honoured to receive the mandate to serve on the IOC Executive Board. I am passionate about the Olympic Movement and been involved greatly in the dynamism and innovation that will engage new audiences and make the Olympic Movement more inclusive, more innovative, and more sustainable - while remaining firmly anchored in our values. I am grateful for the trust that has been shown in me and committed to making a difference through my work with the IOC Executive Board."
President Kim’s extensive credentials for the new role have been borne out through the rapid evolution of ISU Vision 2030 since his time at the helm of global skating, rooted in good governance, innovation and a passion for connecting with new audiences, growing sustainably. He is a dedicated advocate of all winter sports, illustrated through his work with the Winter Olympics Federations (WOF).
His considerable knowledge of both operational and strategic challenges for the Olympic movement have been strengthened by contributing to several IOC commissions as well as being part of the successful bid to host the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 and, subsequently, serving as Executive Vice President of the Pyeongchang Organizing Committee.
Alongside President Kim’s longstanding engagement in sport, he brings more than 30 years of global business experience to his new role. All at the ISU congratulate him on another wonderful sporting milestone in a glittering career.
