ISU Unveils Star-Studded Entries for the Figure Skating Grand Prix Series 2026/27

The International Skating Union (ISU) has officially announced the entries for the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Series 2026/27, setting the stage for six weeks of world-class competition featuring many of the sport’s biggest names alongside a new generation of rising stars.
Approximately 150 athletes from across the globe will compete throughout the series, including Olympic Champions, World Champions, World medalists and some of the most exciting young talents in international skating.
Spanning six events across three continents, the Grand Prix Series remains one of the most prestigious and eagerly anticipated competitions on the figure skating calendar, offering athletes the opportunity to qualify for the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Final in Chongqing, China, this December.

The Next Generation Arrives
The ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Series will also provide a platform for skating's future stars, including reigning ISU Junior World Champions Mao Shimada (JPN) and Rio Nakata (JPN), who continue their transition onto the senior international stage.
Six Stops, Three Continents, One Final Goal
The ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Series 2026/27 will take place over six consecutive weeks:
- ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix de France 2026 (Angers, France) – October 23–25, 2026
- ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Skate Canada International 2026 (Kelowna, Canada) – October 30–November 1, 2026
- ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Cup of China 2026 (Shenzhen, China) – November 6–8, 2026
- ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Skate America 2026 (Everett, USA) – November 13–15, 2026
- ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Finlandia Trophy 2026 (Helsinki, Finland) – November 20–22, 2026
- ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix NHK Trophy 2026 (Tokyo, Japan) – November 27–29, 2026
A notable milestone for the series sees the Cup of China hosted in Shenzhen for the first time.
The Race to Chongqing
Athletes will accumulate points based on their results at Grand Prix events, with the top six Women, Men, Pair Skating teams and Ice Dance couples earning qualification to the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Final.
This season's Final will take place in Chongqing, China, from December 10–13, 2026, where the world's best will compete for one of the most coveted titles in Figure Skating.
