Pure as Ice in Bormio

23 Jan 2025

#PureAsIce

The ISU Junior World Cup Short Track Speed Skating in Bormio (November 8-10m 2024) was not just about thrilling races—it was also about empowering Skaters and Coaches to champion clean sports!

During the event, the ISU hosted a dynamic and interactive Pure As Ice outreach program which brought together 116 participants from 15 national teams around the world, including Portugal, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Austria, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Spain, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, South Korea, China, Finland, and the USA.

With a focus on testing processes, Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE), and supplements, the energy in the room was electric – Short Track Skaters proved they are just as fast with their answers as they are on the ice! Both athletes and coaches actively participating and diving into discussions.

As the Junior World Cup continues, the ISU celebrates not only the achievements on the ice but also the growing dedication to remain PURE AS ICE.
