Olympic 500m Champion Erin Jackson (USA) secured the 500m World Cup Trophy winning the final race on Sunday. Miho Takagi (JPN) seized 1000m gold, with Brittany Bowe (USA) taking home the 1000m World Cup Trophy.
Ireen Wüst and Sven Kramer (NED) waved the Thialf home crowd farewell at the ISU World Cup Final in Heerenveen on Saturday. Wüst, who came fourth in the 1500m at the World Cup final, collected 13 Olympic medals (6G, 5S, 2B) and multiple European and World titles, while Kramer won nine Olympic medals (4G, 2S, 3B). Kramer had already skated his last competition at the Beijing Olympic Games.
