Following our initial communication of January 13, 2017 regarding the ISU Athletes Commission List of Nominees and in accordance with Article 21 of the ISU Constitution, which stipulates that each ISU Member may nominate only 1 Athlete per Branch, we informed the Figure Skating Federation of Russia (FSFR) to withdraw one candidate from the Figure Skating Branch.
Further to the decision of the 56th ISU Ordinary Congress 2016 in Dubrovnik, CRO, to introduce an ISU Athletes Commission and in accordance with Article 21 of the 2016 ISU Constitution, we are pleased to publish the List of Nominees to the Athletes Commission
ISU World Junior Speed Skating Championships 2017 - Helsinki (FIN) Media Accreditations are now open.
On December 22, 2016 the ISU Council decided to move the ISU World Cup Speed Skating planned to be held in Chelyabinsk, Russia, on March 10-12, 2017. Despite the short notice to find a new host for the event, the Norwegian ISU Member Norges Skøyteforbund, informed the ISU that they agree to host the event.

ISU World Sprint Speed Skating Championships 2017 - Calgary (CAN) Media Accreditations are now open.
Further to the 2016 Congress decision to provide additional opportunities to ISU Member representatives to meet and discuss topics of common interest, the Council agreed to hold a one day Conference per Branch (Figure Skating & Speed Skating) during the season 2016/17.
