Two-time World Champions Meagan Duhamel/Eric Radford of Canada took the lead as Bridgestone Skate America opened with the Pairs Short Program. China’s Xiaoyu Yu/Hao Zhang came second followed closely by World silver medalists Aliona Savchenko/Bruno Massot of Germany. The top three teams are separated by a little less than three points.

Within the context of the Oswald Commission hearings the International Skating Union (ISU) has received the verdicts of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Disciplinary Commission of Olga Fatkulina and Aleksander Rumyantsev relating to the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

The second ISU Shanghai Trophy starts on November 24-26, 2017. The event combines Synchronized Skating, Short Track Speed Skating and Figure Skating.  It is the first time that an ISU Event combines the three disciplines.

The last spots for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final are on the line at Bridgestone Skate America this week in Lake Placid (USA). Among those competing for a spot are two-time World Champions Meagan Duhamel/Eric Radford (CAN), two-time World medalists Maia Shibutani/Alex Shibutani (USA) and Four Continents Champion Nathan Chen (USA).

From a historical point of view, the Canadian Pair Barbara Wagner and Robert Paul from Toronto is one of the most successful.

Two-time World Champion Javier Fernandez, of Spain, claimed the seventh Grand Prix gold medal of his long and distinguished career Saturday at the  Internationaux de France de Patinage in Grenoble.

European Champions Evgenia Tarasova/Vladimir Morozov, of Russia, captured their second Grand Prix Pairs gold medal this season at the Internationaux de France de Patinage in Grenoble Saturday. 

Two-time World Champions Gabriella Papadakis/Guillaume Cizeron, of France, won their home Grand Prix Ice Dance in style, recording a personal best as the Internationaux de France de Patinage continued in Grenoble Saturday. 

2017 World Junior Champion Alina Zagitova, of Russia, continued her impressive senior-level debut this season. Coming from fifth place the teenager jumped up the placings to top the podium at the Internationaux de France de Patinage in Grenoble on Saturday. 

Two-time World Champion Javier Fernandez, of Spain, soared past the field in the Men’s Short Program at the Internationaux de France de Patinage Friday, looking for redemption after his sub-par performances at the Audi Cup of China where he was taken ill.

World silver medalist Kaetlyn Osmond, of Canada, captured the Ladies Short Program as the Internationaux de France de Patinage opened in Grenoble Friday.

Two-time World Champions Gabriella Papadakis/Guillaume Cizeron (FRA) and World silver medalists Kaetlyn Osmond (CAN) and Shoma Uno (JPN) headline the Internationaux de France this week in Grenoble.

The 2010 Olympic champions Tessa Virtue/Scott Moir of Canada won their second Grand Prix gold of the season as the competition at the NHK Trophy concluded with the Free Dance. Madison Hubbell/Zachary Donohue (USA) took the silver medal and the bronze went to 2014 World Champions Anna Cappellini/Luca Lanotte.
