The 2010 Olympic champions Tessa Virtue/Scott Moir of Canada won their second Grand Prix gold of the season as the competition at the NHK Trophy concluded with the Free Dance. Madison Hubbell/Zachary Donohue (USA) took the silver medal and the bronze went to 2014 World Champions Anna Cappellini/Luca Lanotte.

Sergei Voronov of Russia might have been the oldest man in the competition but he was the strongest and claimed the first Grand Prix gold medal of his long career. USA’s Adam Rippon pulled up from fourth to earn the silver and Israel’s Alexei Bychenko took home the bronze.

World champion Evgenia Medvedeva of Russia overcame a fall to win her second Grand Prix gold medal at the NHK Trophy Saturday in Osaka. In a repeat of the Rostelecom Cup result, five-time European champion Carolina Kostner of Italy claimed the silver medal behind Medvedeva.

World pairs champions Wenjing Sui/Cong Han of China stormed to gold and set a record Free Skating score as competition at the NHK Trophy in Osaka continued on Saturday. Russia’s Olympic silver medallists Ksenia Stolbova/Fedor Klimov claimed the silver medal, and the bronze went to Kristina Astakhova/Alexei Rogonov, also of Russia.

Russian veteran Sergei Voronov grabbed the lead in the Men’s Short Program but Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu (JPN) had to withdraw due to injury. Israel’s Alexei Bychenko  sits in second place, followed by Jason Brown (USA).

World champion Evgenia Medvedeva of Russia took a 5.42-point lead over five-time European champion Carolina Kostner of Italy in the Ladies Short Program at the NHK Trophy on Friday. Russian newcomer Polina Tsurskaya came third in the first segment of the competition.

World pairs champions Wenjing Sui/Cong Han of China skated to the lead as the competition at the NHK Trophy kicked off on Friday with the Pairs Short Program. Russia’s Olympic silver medallists Ksenia Stolbova/Fedor Klimov came second followed by teammates Kristina Astakhova/Alexei Rogonov.

Olympic Champions Yuzuru Hanyu (JPN) and Tessa Virtue/Scott Moir (CAN) as well as World Champion Evgenia Medvedeva (RUS) and World Pairs Champions Wenjing Sui/Cong Han (CHN) headline NHK Trophy in Osaka (JPN) this week and look to qualify for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final.

The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series consists of six international senior invitational events which qualify the top six skaters in each discipline (Men, Ladies, Pairs and ice Dance) to the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. This year the ISU Junior & Senior Grand Prix Final will take place in Nagoya, Japan from December 7 - 10.

eigning World Champions Wenjing Sui/Cong Han led a Chinese one-two as competition concluded at Audi Cup of China. Xiaoyu Yu/Hao Zhang took the silver medal, with Canadians Kirsten Moore-Towers/Michael Marinaro claiming bronze.
