The Men’s event at the Olympic Winter Games looks wide open and the battle between the “quad kings” should be fierce. All top contenders have multiple quadruple jumps planned and they will need them to get on to the podium in PyeongChang.

In an exciting Olympic Pairs final, Germany’s Aljona Savchenko / Bruno Massot soared to gold at Gangneung Ice Arena on Thursday, edging world champions Wenjing Sui / Cong Han of China by just 0.43 points to win the first Olympic pair skating gold for Germany in 66 years. Canada’s Meagan Duhamel / Eric Radford earned the bronze medal.

Canada’s Tessa Virtue / Scott Moir added another Olympic gold medal to their impressive repertoire, coming out on top in a spectacular Olympic Ice Dance event at Gangneung Ice Arena on Tuesday. Two-time World Champions Gabriella Papadakis / Guillaume Cizeron of France earned the silver medal in their Olympic debut and Maia Shibutani / Alex Shibutani (USA) claimed the bronze.

Reigning World Champions Wenjing Sui/Cong Han of China edged European Champions Evgenia Tarasova/Vladimir Morozov (OAR) for a narrow lead in the Pairs Short Program at Gangneung Ice Arena on Wednesday. Two-time World Champions Meagan Duhamel/Eric Radford of Canada follow in third place in an excellent event that included many personal best performances.

The Pair Skating event at the Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang should be very exciting with about six top teams competing for the medals.

The Figure Skating Team Event at the Winter Olympics Games PyeongChang 2018 was very exciting and marked another land mark in Figure Skating. The medals have become very sought after among the participating nations.

Canada struck gold at the Figure Skating team event at PyeongChang 2018 with seven points to spare. The Olympic Athletes from Russia earned the silver medal ahead of team USA, who repeated as bronze medalists.

Team Canada strengthened their lead as Olympic Athletes from Russia jumped from fourth to second place on day two of the Figure Skating team event at PyeongChang 2018.

The Olympic Cauldron was lit by 2010 Olympic gold medalist and Korean super star Figure Skater Kim Yuna on Friday marking the start of the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games. 

Team Canada confirmed their role as favorites as the figure skating competition at the XXIII Olympic Winter Games opened with the Men’s and Pairs Short Programs of the team event.

The Figure Skating competition at the XXIII Olympic Winter Games will kick off on February 9 just before the Opening Ceremony, with the exciting team event.  In each team, one Lady, one Man, one Pair Skating and one Ice Dance Couple compete in the Short and/or Free Skating.

France’s GP Papadakis (22) and GC Cizeron (23) won their fourth consecutive European title in January, they are also the 2015 and 2016 World Champions as well as the reigning World silver medalists and Grand Prix Final Champions. They are heading as top contenders into their first Olympic Winter Games.

China’s Boyang Jin jumped his way to gold as the ISU Four Continents Championships 2018 concluded with the Men’s Free Skating Saturday in Taipei. World silver medalist Shoma Uno of Japan earned the silver medal and Jason Brown (USA) rose from fourth to take the bronze. 

World Junior bronze medalist Kaori Sakamoto led the Japanese Ladies' charge to the Four Continents podium in Taipei on Friday. Sakamoto skated elegantly to gold, while 2017 Four Continents champion Mai Mihara took the silver medal and 2016 Four Continents champion Satoko Miyahara settled for bronze.
