The International Skating Union (ISU) is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with the Chinese National Sports Group (CNSG), as it continues to innovate and grow Short Track Speed Skating globally.
As a significant step forward in the strategic “ISU Vision 2030” plan, the International Skating Union (ISU) and the Winter Sports Administrative Center of General Administration of Sport of China (CWSAC) recently held a very fruitful meeting in Beijing (CHN), focused on expanding the collaboration between the two organizations to further elevate ice skating sports and events in China. ISU President Jae Youl Kim, Director General Colin Smith, and CWSAC Director Wang Lei, alongside senior officials, discussed strategies to enhance collaboration, drive innovation and promote sustainability, to the benefit of skaters, fans, and the skating community in China and around the globe.
The 2024 Asian Open Short Track Speed Skating Trophy is currently underway in Jakarta, running from August 21 to 23. The event has drawn over 160 skaters from 12 countries, showcasing the best of Short Track Speed Skating in the region.
