ISU eLearning presents a series of modules related to Strategic and Mental Capabilities. The physical body is important as an athlete but understanding the mental capabilities of you and your team, as well as putting the best strategies in place, are equally essential for success. Although they have been primarily developed for Speed Skating Branch, the modules will also be of interest to Figure Skaters and Coaches.
The International Skating Union (ISU) asked the public what they wanted to watch next and they have spoken. Coming up are the streams of the 2017 ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships as well as the 2015 ISU World Allround Speed Skating Championships, ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships and ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final.
Referring to ISU Communication 2320, the ISU Council reconfirms that the ISU will give its utmost support to ISU Members in order to stage all planned ISU Events that can safely be held during the season 2020/21.
The Development Commission invites applications for the 2020 Visiting ISU Coach initiative. Applications should be submitted by June 26, 2020 on the application form in Appendix A.
The ISU Centers of Excellence (CoE) are pleased to announce that the Speed Skating and Short Track Speed Skating “Keep Training!” sessions, featuring professionals in the domain, begin on May 11, 2020, on the Skating ISU YouTube Channel.
The ISU releases the 2020/21 helmet numbers for Short Track Speed Skating ISU Events. The numbers are assigned based on the Overall World Ranking 2019/20.
ISU eLearning presents a Synchronized Skating Technical Update relating to the technical requirements outlined in ISU Communication 2317. The module has been developed by the ISU Synchronized Skating Technical Committee and describes new Feature requirements for the upcoming season.
The ISU invites ISU Members to submit applications to host ISU Championships in all disciplines for the season 2022/23 and for tentative allotments of Speed Skating and Short Track Speed Skating Championships for the seasons 2023/24 and 2024/25.
