Les Suprêmes (CAN) reigned supreme once more at the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships and skated off with their third consecutive gold medal as the Championship concluded in Zagreb (CRO) Saturday.

Hot favorites Les Suprêmes (CAN) edged the Helsinki Rockettes (FIN) for the lead as the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships opened Friday in Zagreb (CRO). A total of 21 teams with 479 Skaters representing 17 ISU Members have been entered for the Championships. It is the 23rd edition of the event that started in 2000.

Les Suprêmes Junior skated the first gold medal for Canada at the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships Saturday in Neuchâtel (SUI). A total of 24 teams with 543 Skaters representing 20 ISU Members competed in the Championships. It was the ninth edition of the event that started in 2013.

Just a year ago, William Dandjinou (CAN) was a minor player in Short Track with only one senior individual podium to his name. By the time he arrived at the World Short Track Championships, however, the tall Canadian had become an athlete to respect and fear, having won three individual ISU World Cup gold medals this season. He capped this rapid ascent on Sunday with his first major title, prevailing in a dramatic 1000m race.
