Further to ISU Communication No. 2209 and after having received ISU Members applications, the ISU recognized three Ice Dance Seminars for Referees and Judges.

This Communication summarizes the main general obligations of ISU Members, according to the ISU Statutes and according to established procedures. This does not alter the obligation of ISU Members to adhere to those Rules contained in the ISU Statutes which are not specifically referred to in this Communication.

The ISU is moving forward with the ISU Centers of Excellence initiative. 

We are shocked and saddened by the unexpected passing of John Coughlin.

All Officials who continue to meet the criteria as outlined in the Special Regulations and who, considering the period of time elapsed since their initial appointment, require re-certification are eligible for acceptance to the Frankfurt Seminar 2019 – re-certification program.

Further to the decision of the 56th ISU Ordinary Congress 2016 in Dubrovnik (CRO) to introduce an ISU Athletes Commission and following the election of ISU Office Holders during the 57th ISU Ordinary Congress 2018 in Seville (ESP), the elections for the ISU Athletes Commission are to take place in 2019.

The ISU redesigns the navigation on its website to enhance user experience.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) announces that its 2019 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods (List), which was first published on 28 September 2018, has entered into force on January 1st, 2019.

The ISU Council has provisionally allotted the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2019 to the Federazione Italiana Sport del Ghiaccio (FISG).

Following changes adopted by the 2018 ISU Congress regarding Rule 102, paragraph 6, ISU Communication No. 2221 replaces and complements ISU Communication No. 2055 as well as enforces and re-enforces provisions outlined in other ISU Communications.

Registration for the second "Healthy Skater" seminar is now open.

The festive season is approaching and it is the time of year to reflect on what has passed and look toward 2019.

As 2018 comes to an end, the ISU President, Mr. Jan Dijkema, would like to address a message to all skating friends.

During the Pure As Ice campaign held at the ISU World Cup Speed Skating in Heerenveen in collaboration with the ISU Development Commission, almost 150 athletes and their support personal came by to take part at the Pure As Ice activities.
